Red shield recovers huge cache of arms

Imphal, February 05 2015: Troops of Red Shield Division and Manipur Commandos recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition from the hilly jungles around Thingsat village, Senapati district early Thursday.

PRO (Defence) Imphal said after intensive search and combing operation of the area by the joint team, the troops recovered a huge cache of war like stores in a sack buried in the ground.

The recovery included one AK-56 Rifle, one Uzi (MP-2) rifle, two detonators, two kg RDX, one live ammunition of Lathode, one magazine each of AK-47, AK-56 & Uzi and two magazines of 9 mm pistol.
