MU NEWS/IMPHAL, Feb 11 : At least four persons were injured in a bomb blast at Yumnam Khunou under Sagolmang police station in Manipur’s Imphal east district on Wednesday around 11:30 am at the residence of one Laishram Jiten of Yumnam Khunou Awang Leikai under Sagomang police station of Khundrakpam assembly constituency. All the injured persons have been evacuated to JNIMS hospital emergency ward for treatment after the blast.
The injured persons have been identified as Laishram Pilot (20), son of L Shayam of Yumnam Khunou; Taorem Suraj (15) son of T Binoy; Ishwarchandra (16) son of L Jiten and Laishram ongbi Dina Devi wife of the L Pilot.
According to information available at JNIMS emergency ward, the injured persons were brought to hospital by the locals of the area. The condition of L Pilot and his wife Dina is stated to be serious.
As a result of the blast, Laishram Pilot (20) and his wife Dina sustained injury at the right hand, left abdomen, left leg and right foot while T Suraj (15) was hurt at left and right arm, both side of chest, stomach etc.
All the injured persons in the blast are said to be students and their guardians. Report available in the hospital doesn’t have any idea that who have triggered the bomb and also reason behind the blast when report goes to the press.
