Nagas are not Indians : NSCN (K)

Dimapur, October 04 2015: The NSCN-K has said that the ban on the outfit and re-imposing the redundant Armed Forces (Special Powers) Acts (AFSPA) in “Naga country” proves that Nagas are not Indians and India is a foreign power desperate to prolong her illegitimate political hegemony over the Nagas through sheer military might.

In a statement NSCN-K said that India’s democracy is a sham, and that her claim as the world’s largest democracy is a disgrace and only desecrates the land of the birth of Gandhi.

Mahatma Gandhi’s principle of non-violence and India’s consistent armed violence/bloodshed and her Government’s sponsored terrorism in Nagaland for more than six decades speak volumes of India’s political immaturity and diplomatic fiasco.

It said that India’s neo-Nazism and neo-Fascism being enforced upon the Nagas with impunity cannot be contested for added that while India venerates the cow and proscribes cow slaughter in all the Hindu mainland it devalues human lives and condones slaughter of innocent and non-combatant Naga men, women, children and civilians indiscriminately.

The NSCN-K statement added that India has empowered her security forces to engage in extra-judicial extermination, rape, molestations, arson, mass concentration camps/mass groupings, genocide, destruction of properties and livestocks, maiming, torture, harassment, arrest without warrant, confinement without trials, shoot at sight by NCO without warning etc inNaga areas.

“The manner in which Jews were stripped of humanity in Nazi concentration camps and consigned to painful death without trial or randomly executed during World War II by Hitler is being replicated in Nagaland by Indian Army.

Thousands of Nagas have perished in India’s mass concentration camps and thousands more have died ignoble deaths in concentration camps due to torture and injuries inflicted by Indian Army and thousands more have vanished in Indian Army custody without trial or trace.

Thousands were herded like cattle and without food or shelter made to suffer indignity and inhuman conditions,” it added.

It stated that all these illegal, unlawful and savage militarism on the Nagas over the last many decades is the testimony of the Nagas’
sufferings and her just struggle to throw off the foreign yoke of injustice being perpetuated by occupational Indian Government.

During the last six months of ceasefire abrogation, the Indian Army backed up by inhuman AFSPA has intensified militarism in Naga country, as a result more than 30 Nagas have already been killed and injured including innocent students, civilian women and children and unarmed NSCN members in a non combat situation.

Yet the Indian army casually claim the killings of Nagas as “neutralization” as if the Nagas are non-human beings but mere machines and toys.

More than 50 Nagas are being held in confinements without access to judiciary, lawyers or medicinal facilities.

Every apprehended NSCN workers before being forwarded to judicial and police custody are confined to torture chamber specifically designed for inhuman torture experimentation of the Nagas.

The Naga victims, with legs and hands bound, are thrown into water tanks and subjected to electric shocks day and night and when the victims collapse, they are revived by injecting drugs and hung naked upside down on iron hooks fixed to ceilings, steel needles are hammered into their nails and they are made to crawl, with iron nails and broken glasses strewn on the floor.

The victims are mercilessly beaten black and blue with rifle butt, gun barrel, firewood etc.

When these ordeal gets over, the victims are again injected painkiller drugs, forced to sign non-harassment bond and finally handed over to Nagaland police with every conceivable non-bailable sections filed against the victim and the police are even warned not to be lenient.

Such is the unforgiving state of savagery the Nagas have been enduring without respite under Indian militarization since the early 1950s, till now and today, charged the outfit.

The Indian Army are supposed to be deployed against external threat to India alone and therefore to camouflage its external aggression in Naga country, the Indian Army empowered with AFSPA are despatched under the cover of paramilitary to
whitewash the conflict as internal disturbance.

Yet the excessive use of illegal non-conventional (Geneva Conventions on the treatment of prisoners of wars) and extra Constitutional terror technique to suppress Naga liberation struggle tells an entirely different tale and the world can no longer be fooled.

According to the NSCN-K’s statement, India’s lobby to gain permanent seat in UN Security Council is but ironic and controversial and added that the so claimed democratic India uses her own Army to terrorise and suppress the ethnic Naga independence struggle.

“The Naga resistance movement against India’s external aggression is just, legal and one instance of humanity struggle against suppression and can never be subdued merely because the NSCN is proscribed and AFSPA invoked.

Sooner or later, forceful occupation of Nagaland will become India’s self-made manifest contradicting her own grand schemes of becoming a regional and global super power,” NSCN-K stated.
