An Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) allegedly shot himself with his service revolver at his flat in sector 100 on Monday late night. His wife also attempted suicide by jumping off from their flat on the fourth floor.

According to the Noida Police, incident took place around 9.30 pm when the senior Delhi Police officer identified as Amit Singh shot himself.

Amit was currently posted with the elite Special Cell. He was staying with his wife Sarita Singh and 18-month-old daughter at flat number 403 of Lotus Boulevard Society.
