Imphal, June 16 2016:
Unknown miscreants explod-ed a bomb at the residential complex of former
Councillor of Moirang Municipal Council Ward No 4 Turenbal Leikai
Moirangthem Muhini at around 2.45 am today.
Although, the blast damaged a portion of CGI wall and roof of the house, nobody was injured in the incident.
Muhini
said that her husband is an Associate Pro- fessor of Moirang College
and neither she nor her husband has any enmity with anybody.
She further said that no organisation had served any monetary demand to their family as well.
Strongly condemning the incident, she also sought a clarification from all concerned on why they carried out the attack.
Meanwhile, womenfolk staged a sit-in-protest at Moirang Turel Ahanbi Mandap.
Placards
that read ‘we condemn exploding bomb at residential and crowded area’
and ‘we want peace’ were put up by the protesters.
A protester asked the attackers to clarify why they targeted the family.
She also urged all the organisations concerned not to carry out such attacks at residential areas.
