IRB Jawan Commits Suicide in Arunachal

An India Reserve Battalion (IRB) jawan allegedly committed suicide by
shooting himself from his service rifle on the NH-415 between Nirjuli
and Banderdewa in Arunachal Pradesh, police said.

The body which
was recovered on Friday has been identified as that of Ajit Sono, a
constable of the 4th IRB Special Task Force. Sono was missing since
November 9 and a missing diary was lodged by the company commander of
STF with the Banderdewa PS on Thursday evening.

Koan said Sono allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself from his
service rifle. Two bullet marks were found at the head and neck of the
body, he said.
