Imphal, January 29 2017: Two workers out of three who were abducted by suspected KNF (N) cadres were killed in an alleged gunfight between the underground outfit and KNA cadres who came to rescue the workers.
The incident took place at Moulsohoi village under Litan police station, Ukhrul district yesterday at around 9.30 pm.
According to reports, heavily armed KNF (N) cadres were bringing the three abducted workers from Mahadeva towards Sanakeithel road when they were stopped by KNA cadres at Moulsohoi village.
Instead of stopping, the KNF cadres opened fire towards the latter, resulting in a fierce gunfight betwen them.
