Thoubal, April 25 2017: A young bachelor who was a teacher by profession was killed when a police personnel opened fire at a Thabal Chongba venue at Ukhong-shang Mayai Leikai under Nongpok Sekmai police station at around 11.55 pm yesterday.
To protest the killing, an indefinite bandh on Imphal-Moreh highway has been imposed.
The victim identified as Kh Santosh (25) s/o Kh Ibohal of Thoubal Athokpam Awang Leikai taught at the Institute of Rural Education (IRE), Wangjing.
He died at Thoubal district hospital after he was shot.
