Imphal, May 30 2017: A team of Bishnupur police and personnel of 25 Assam Rifles conducted frisking and checking at Kangvai area and arrested three individual along with a large number of ammunition at around 11 am today.

A press release issued by the police PRO stated that the security team conducted frisking and checking of vehicles at Kangvai area after getting specific information about some UGs transporting ammunition along Tiddim road and arrested Khaiginlal Haokip (34) s/o Jamkal Haokip of Gamphajang (Churachandpur), Jangkhokhohao (40) s/o Thengkhothang Khongsai of Timkangphai (Churachand-pur) and Simon Gurung (31) s/o late Lal Bahadur Gurung of Mantripukhri AT Line.

2780 rounds of AK rifle ammunition were recovered from their car and a case has been registered, it added.
