Army Mistakenly Gun Down a Villager in Arunachal

June 15: In a shocking instance, the Indian Army shot dead a 35-year-old man on Wednesday night in Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh, which they termed a case of mistaken identity.

According to press statement released by the Army, the troops were lying in ambush after receiving intelligence inputs about the movement of a group of hardcore terrorists.

“It was during this time the individual who got killed came into the ambush and, on being challenged, made very suspicious movements and rushed towards the ambush party, which forced them to open controlled fire, resulting in the individual suffering fatal injury,” the statement stated.

The victim was later identified as Thingtu Ngemu.
