“Asia and the Arms Trade Treaty” – CAFI at the United Nations in New York

On 10th July 2009, Control Arms Foundation of India held its first ever meeting at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The panel discussion named “Asia and the Arms Trade Treaty” focussed on India’s and Asia’s role in the ongoing United Nation Process towards an International Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) and was chaired by Smt. Swadesh Rana, Former Chief of United Nations Conventional Arms Branch.

Speakers included Binalakshmi Nepram, Founder-Secretary General Control Arms Foundation of India, Mr Tak Mashiko, Project Coordinator, United Nations Office of Disarmament Affairs, and Mr Fred Lubang, Director, Non-Violence International, Thailand. For photographs please click HERE.
