Although nobody was injured, one Hyundai i-20 car (MN01G-1550) and one Maruti Celerio car (MN01S-4755) were damaged in the blast.
The owner of the i-20 car has been identified as Sikandar Shah and the owner of the Celerio car as Prabin Kumar of Serou Part-3, presently residing at Majorkhul.
Sikandar Shah, who originally hails from Sitamarhi (Bihar), is the proprietor of Sudhir Iron Store, Kalibari while Prabin Kumar is the proprietor of Star Video, Majorkhul.
Sikandar’s family said that they have been staying in a rented house at Majorkhul.
However, Sikandar had gone to Delhi for his wife’s treatment around 10 days back, they said.
They also said that they haven’t received any monetary demand or threat from any underground organisation.
Meanwhile, a large number of Majorkhul residents including non-locals staged a sit-in-protest to denounce the blast at Majorkhul gate today.
A protester said that the act of creating fear to innocent people is highly condemnable.
