Churachandpur, October 16 2016: A 10-year old girl was sexually exploited on Friday.
The incident came to light last night after the gril was found bleeding.
She was immediately taken to district hospital for examination.
Police have started investigating on the matter.
According to a source, the class IV student is an orphan.
Though police said that the suspect must be someone close to the family, they refused to release the suspect’s name.
Nevertheless, an official source has confirmed that the minor had been sexually exploited.
The girl was again taken to Imphal in the midnight for further treatment.
On the other hand, another 7-year old girl was also sexually exploited.
The incident occurred under Singngat sub-division.
Police have arrested suspect Thawngliansang of New Lamka.
He was brought to the district Headquarters at around 9.30 pm today.
